Class Description

Gentle Yoga is a relaxed, slower-paced form of yoga designed for individuals seeking a calming and restorative experience. It is ideal for beginners, seniors, or anyone looking to ease into yoga with less intensity. This practice focuses on slow, mindful movements, breathing exercises, and gentle stretches, making it accessible to a wide range of fitness levels. Suitable for: All practitioners who want to practice alignment yoga Mindful Breathing - Gentle yoga emphasizes connecting your breath with your movements. Deep, controlled breathing (often called Pranayama) helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and improve overall focus. - Common breathing exercises include Ujjayi breath (ocean breath) and Dirga breath (three-part breath). Gentle Poses - Child’s Pose (Balasana): A resting posture that gently stretches the back, hips, and thighs. - Cat-Cow (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): A flowing movement between arching and rounding the back, improving spinal flexibility. - Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana): A calming stretch for the back, hamstrings, and neck. - Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana): A gentle backbend that opens the chest and strengthens the legs. - Reclined Butterfly (Supta Baddha Konasana): A restorative pose to stretch the hips and inner thighs while relaxing the body. Slow Movements - Gentle yoga encourages moving slowly, giving you time to ease into each pose and focus on your alignment. - Transitioning between poses at a slower pace reduces the risk of injury and promotes mindfulness. - Focus on Flexibility and Relaxation - This style of yoga is excellent for increasing flexibility in a safe and controlled manner. - Often, classes end with a long Savasana (Corpse Pose) or relaxation segment, allowing you to fully unwind. Props: Props such as yoga blocks, straps, and bolsters are often used to make poses more accessible and comfortable. These tools allow for modifications that suit individual needs. Cancellation Policy
